In world where words like child abuse, sexual abuse, molestation, incest, and rape are rarely spoken and in hushed tones, there are millions of survivors who live in silent torment. We do not talk about the things that happen in secrecy, and so they become the things that must stay hidden in the dark. Guilt, shame, anger, and emotional disorders often overcome survivors in the face of their overwhelming secrets, and quite often, they become lost to the darkness trapped deep inside.

Organza Shimmering chronicles the awakening of a shattered soul from the aftermath of child abuse. This collection of literary "snapshots", spanning nine years, follows Kylee Jones as she embarks upon her journey to healing. Although these poems are written by but one survivor, they tell the story of darkness, anger, fear, loneliness, and confusion that is all too common to child abuse survivors around the world.
