Having shared a day of passion with Jesse, Karen becomes worried about her own feelings regarding the young man. She tries to stay away, but her resolve crumbles when he invites her to a picnic that evening.
Under the stars, they come together again. Both know it can't last, and set out to make it a night they will remember fondly for the rest of their lives.
This 3,400 word story deals with intimate acts under the open sky, where there is a good chance they might get caught. For adults only!

“Mom and her … Kenneth, they're coming back tomorrow. I won't exactly have a lot of opportunities to see you, so I was wondering if you're free tonight?”
The answer that sprung to mind was “Yes!”, but Karen managed to hold off on that. Because here Jesse was, asking her out for a date. Like she was his girlfriend or something. 'Strange, you'd think going on a date with Jesse would be nothing compared to sleeping with him, but it doesn't feel like that. It feels … like more,' the brunette mused. “I already ate, and I'm pretty sure picnicking is a daytime activity.” Karen didn't really understand why she was stalling. There was nothing from stopping her to say yes, not even herself. 'No, I'm not stalling,' she realized. 'I'm drawing him out. I want to see what he says, how he feels about me.'
“I was thinking more along the lines of a late night snack. There's this bluff that overlooks the valley, it's deserted at this time. We'll have … privacy,” Jesse settled on.
“Privacy, huh?” Her left index finger started to circle her nipple peaking out of the foam. “And what are you planning that requires privacy?”
“A surprise.” His hushed tone sent another shiver down Karen's spine. Arousal uncoiled in her tummy. “So, is it a date?”
A part of her, a part that had slumbered too long and now was trying to make up for lost time, wanted to tell Jesse what she was wearing right now; wanted to whisper to him where her fingers were going. “Yes,” she said with a thick voice, instead.
