Dan Todd came from a humble background and grew up on a council estate but has always been proud of his working class roots. Influenced by his father and what he saw happening in the wider world, Dan became involved with trade unions at the age of 16. Disillusioned by the inequalities he witnessed in the workplace, Dan joined the Socialist Workers Party and began to study the beliefs of revolutionary writers such a Marx and Trotsky. He later joined Red Action and Anti-Fascist Action (AFA) and became a political activist. Dan’s aim was always to get a better deal for the country’s workforce within, what he regarded as, an essentially corrupt system. At times, his political views and disregard for middle management made him a target. One Man’s Revolution follows Dan’s personal journey to fight for a more just working environment for the workers of Britain. This book is a must-have for anyone who would like to find out about how trade unions really work and for all those with an interest in the creation of a fairer society for the working man.
