You may be thinking “Why Heath Robinson?” Why indeed. Heath Robinson, or to be more correct W. Heath Robinson, is better known for his wonderfully elaborate illustrations of extremely complex machinery designed to achieve the simplest tasks. The images in this book, and in other children’s books he illustrated, amply show that he was capable of so much more than drawing amazingly complex machinery.

Look out for the children’s colouring-in activity book which has used the 43 BnW outline images created to be a companion to this story book.
