O'Rourke's Bride

Stranded and flat broke in Virginia City, Irish playboy-actor, Peter O'Rourke, decides he may need to get a "real job," at least until he can get back to civilization.
Kate McGillacutty's life takes an unexpected turn when she and her father have a heated argument over her unwed state. Once Kate is married off, her father will be expecting a few "hard-working" make grandkids to whom he can leave his fortune. Desperate and quite sure her fater won't agree, Kate demands she be allowed to select her future husband from the local male specimens passed out, literally, in front of the Bucket of Blood Saloon. To her horror and dismay, her father calls her bluff.
Imagine O'Rourke's suprise when he wakes up to discover himself Kate's chosen victim. Vowing to outsmart her father, Kate bribes O'Rourke to exchange marriage vows then send her off to live the high life in San Francisco while they pursue a quick and quiet annulment, far from parental interference. O'Rourke does need a job and will agree to almost anything... but as God is his witness, he is not the marrying kind! Not eager to take on this fiery-tempered spitfire, he makes a deal with her father, who is as devious and double-dealing as his daughter.
Never were two prodigals more deserving of each other. O'Rourke throws Kate on the back of a mule and they head off into the Sierra Nevada mountains where O'Rourke flexes his muscles as a fledgling lumberjack, and Kate slings hash in the cookshack while plotting her revenge!
As this battle of the sexes heats up, O'Rourke finds that taming his beautiful bride is no easy task. Secretly intrigued, Kate works up her wiles on this slick-talking Irishman for the pure pleasure of tormenting him. Even so, the last thing she expected from this trumped-up marriage was a seductive rascal with more tricks up his sleeve than she ever imagined possible!
