Now That You Are Born Again (Help for New Christian Converts)

The book you are about to read is a follow-up to our first book – How to be Born Again - which we have printed three times (two reprints), and which has been due for reprint now for over two years and is currently being reprinted.  We have received several testimonies of salvation and transformation from those who read that book, from both within and outside the country.

We have however felt the need to do a follow up work, to assist those who would give their lives to Christ as a result of reading that book, or those who are saved through some other means.  The present book – Now that you are Born Again – is the release from that burden.

In this book – Now that You are Born Again – we seek to assist the reader to understand what it means to be born again, why you must be born again and how to be born again.  We make copious use of scriptures to show the readers what happens when a person is born again and the different events and transformation that that simple decision triggers on earth and in heaven. 

We recognize that a major challenge for young converts is how to be sure they are truly born again, which causes many to answer the altar call for salvation several times over, which is not necessary, if the young Christian has had adequate understanding.  We show from experience why people doubt their salvation and provide answers to address those sources of doubt, on the ground of God’s Word.

The book endeavours to help the young Christian to know the steps he must take to grow spiritually and stand firm as a Christian, as well as tips for finishing well.

We considered the option of combining the two books – How to be Born Again and Now that You are Born Again - as one, but resolved not to do that, so as not to end up with a book that is too bulky, which could discourage reading.  We however recognize that it is possible that some will have the opportunity to read the one and not the other.  We have therefore ensured that, while How to be Born Again ends with follow-up steps that must be taken after being born again, Now that You are Born Again commences with a discussion of how one can actually be born again.  Whichever of the book one picks up, he will have a reasonable idea of the end-to-end issues in the new birth experience, though he may miss out in some deeper details.

Finally, the same counsel I gave in the first book is being repeated here.  I expect that it is mature Christians that will obtain as many copies of the books as possible and use them in the follow up of young converts in their offices, churches, families and neighbourhood, as the young convert himself may not be fully conscious of his spiritual needs, by the very reason that he is a young convert.

We trust that this treatise will greatly help the work of evangelism, follow-up, church growth and mission, therefore making its modest contribution in the expansion of God’s Kingdom on earth, and of preparing the Way of the Lord, in anticipation of His soon appearing.
