Nici inherited a love for beauty and music and delicious foods from her Italian American parents. They give her a strong work ethic by teaching her how to do all the jobs involved in running a restaurant in addition to expecting her to do well in the Catholic school they have chosen for her. By the time she finishes high school, Nici has worked every job involved in running a successful restaurant and graduates into a managerial position. Life appears complete. Nici has a loving family, a fine job, and is surrounded by long- time friends and her beloved books.
