Everything is connected to everything else. There is no such thing as coincidence. The feeling of realizing the connections between everything is cool, sobering, awakening. But it is not enough. It is one thing to know something as theory and it is another thing to do it yourself. You cannot be sure 100% what will happen every following moment, but you could realize and try to connect the dots before something happens and try to make a conscious choice that will lead you to the results you want.

As a developer I have а professional distortion and I make the relations between the data and the information. Many times I had just that kind of tasks.
My project "What You Eat" is not an exception. In the beginning I collected a database with the harmful ingredients and I started to collect food products. As time passed by I realized that collecting all the food is practically impossible. And what will be the benefit of that. I would had all the foods on the market and will know which food is better or worse than other, but not what is actually beneficial.

Then I extended the information with the beneficial ingredients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids), and I started to type in all the foods that don't have bar-codes and their connections to the beneficial ingredients. At this stage I realized that the real food is the one that is grown by our relatives, that too many times can be found outside of the supermarkets. The marketeers in the supermarkets and in the shops have placed labels to this kind of foods - "super foods", BIO, "Natural" and so on. This are attempts to win the trust of the consumer. One product is either food or it is not - it is just well dressed box with calories.

At that stage I added the allergies, the human organs and the diseases and connected the information. The food has beneficial ingredients that have beneficial effect on some body part. Some other part of the ingredients have harmful effect on some body part and cause illness "X", or cause allergy "Y".

And so, the food for me is not only food anymore. It is a structure (mathematical graph to be correct), network of relations and relationships.

I realized that the food is not the only factor that influences our health. The way of thinking, our attitude towards the food is also very important. Our thinking creates our habits and they, executing them in long term, form our health or our illnesses.
