My Father's Child

Autumn has come to the Missouri Ozarks and leaves are collecting on the ground.  You can smell the spicy aroma they give off and hear the crackle underfoot.  The gentle breeze blows and at this splendid time of year, Peggy Sue was born.  She is the eighth of eleven children born into this family.  Born into filth and poverty, it becomes clear she's not wanted.  Before her first birthday, she's severely malnourished.  Can her emaciated little body survive the daily beatings and worse?  How many times will she miraculously escape death before she's delivered from this living hell?

Feel the joy and relief when Peggy is adopted and settles into another family that lavishes her with food and love. This appears to be a Happily Ever After…

Then watch as tragedy strikes her new family and the love and warmth she's grown accustomed to, suddenly becomes a nightmare once again.
