My Best Friend is truly a wonderful adventure and love story between a young man and the living God of the Bible. It will encourage and inspire a wide audience. The book ministers in a special way to teenagers and youth who may be in that difficult season of their lives, when they are seeking an identity and true meaning and purpose. My Best Friend has also a special appeal to grandparents, who may find themselves taking on the responsibility of fathering and mothering a teenager in their later years instead of the retirement they had planned. And a troubled teenager at that!

Kingsley Hill writes, “A real God for me could not be some supreme being who is light-years away and unreachable in some place called heaven, unable to be known and only imagined by the mind. If this is God, He could never be my God.” But to his surprise and delight, the author experiences a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, and his life is changed forever. He finds that God is as close as he will allow Him to be, even coming into his own heart to live. This is a story of how God is willing to reach out to a person who is lost and meet them right where they are at in their lives. Kingsley finds that God is not far away, indifferent, and uncaring, as the world in its blindness portrays Him to be. No, God is an altogether lovely Being, full of mercy, truth, and light, willing and ready to forgive a sinner and give them a whole new life!

God delivered Kingsley, from being a thief on the streets, and miraculously healed him in a hospital bed, after a life threatening motorcycle accident, and even overruled two governments in bringing him from his home in Great Britain, to the west coast of Vancouver Island. The promised land. God came to him in the darkness of what he once called life. Once he met Jesus, he realized that his old life was merely an existence. And having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is real life! Kingsley, like so many young people today, was a victim of a broken home. He tried everything to soothe his pain and fill the hole of his broken heart, but nothing seemed to work. And then he met Jesus, who brought him light and love. It is no wonder Kingsley has named his book My Best Friend, for that is who God has revealed Himself to be, and so very much more!
