Muzzleloaders for Hunters

After shooting and writing about hunting with muzzleloading guns for a half-century, Wm. Hovey Smith reviews his experiences with hunting large and small game with muzzleloading rifles, pistols, smoothbores and shotguns. Not content with the usual hunts for deer with in-line rifles, the author has also taken many deer with handguns, smoothbore muskets and traditional rifles. The book reviews the replica gun market and considers not only the modern guns, but many others that may be found on the used gun market. Other options covered include building a gun from kits and having a craftsman make you a custom muzzleloader.
