The story picks up from the couple’s last adventure together. Phoebe has just missed Mark’s birthday. And he is very angry, especially since he went overboard on her last birthday. How can she appease him? Will they break up? But, Mark has plans for Phoebe, a special way that she can make it all up to him. A very special birthday gift for the man that she loves, that only she can provide him.

She looked up at his face. “Mark, look, what do you want? I asked you if I could make it up to you. Let’s go to a club. Just let me make it up to you!”
Mark stared back at her. She thought she could almost see the wheels turning, calculating.
After a few tense moments, he said, “I think I have a solution.” He stepped back into the house, taking her hand in his and pulling her through the door. He closed the door and locked it.
“Are you really sorry?” he asked her.
“Yes!” she said, sounding exasperated.
Mark took her hands in his and pulled her close. He looked into her eyes. “do you remember what we talked about, the last time we made love?” His stare was intense; he was looking from one eye to the next.
Phoebe wracked her brain for a moment, then thought she realized to what he was referring.
“You don’t mean...?” she started, her anxiety growing. She scanned his eyes, trying to read his thoughts.
“Yes, I do,” he said simply.
“Well?” he asked. “Cold feet?” She stared at him a moment longer, then said, “Mark, I’m sorry, I really am...”
“But are you serious? Are you contrite?” he interrupted her. Phoebe stood there another moment, considering. looking at him.
“Will this... Will you be...” she stuttered. She knew what she wanted to ask, just not how to ask it.
Mark nodded at her. “Yes. I will be satisfied.”
They stared at each other for several long minutes. Finally, Mark asked her, “Are you ready?”
Phoebe looked up at Mark. She took a deep breath and said, “Yes, I’m ready.”
Mark smiled. It made her happy and chilled her at the same time. “Come here,” he said. He pulled her into the living room, where he sat down on the couch. He pulled her by the wrists until she was standing next to him. Once she was standing near the couch, touching his leg, he pulled her down hard. She fell across his lap with a little cry.
“Can I have a safeword, at least?” she asked as his hand began to rub her butt through her skirt.
“I am very angry with you.”
Mark pulled her closer to him until she was tightly in his grasp across his legs. “So, what is this safeword you want?” he asked impatiently.
