Angela Augustine found a man on her beach with one of her $300.00 kitchen knives stuck in his chest. At least he had died in style!

Life in the trendy, tourist town of Boddington Bay, south of Boston is a dream come true for Angela Augustine: her store, The Kitchen Sink and her tea room are never short of customers, her twin bakers Betty and Bonnie are culinary wizards, and her very good friend, former policeman turned boater, Larry Brownlow is a bonus! Everything will be just fine if she can keep a secret from her past from becoming public knowledge.

But, the body on her beach is another small fly in the ointment and she and Larry decide to do some sleuthing; they know that Zak the local Police Chief prefers daydreaming over detective work.

It soon becomes clear that there are lots of people in town who wanted to get rid of the victim who was a loser, a gambler, a blackmailer, and the mayor's brother! Angela and Larry check into the town's most colorful characters including a hoarding gardener, two pub owners with a secret, and a mayor with a bad habit that he keeps under wraps. As their investigation continues, somebody is watching and waiting, and three people fall victim to the perpetrator's attempts to silence those in the know.

If you enjoy stories set in small towns with colorful and quirky characters, this short coastal cozy 'coffee break book' will appeal. Life may seem quiet in the small seaside coastal town of Boddington Bay, but it is never dull!

The decades old cold case disappearance of a transient from the trendy village of Boddington Bay was about to get warm…very warm.

Angela Augustine loves life in Boddington Bay. Her upscale kitchen shop, The Kitchen Sink is always buzzing with activity, her twin bakers Bonnie and Betty can whip, beat, and bake anything into a succulent dish and her friend Larry Brownlow is becoming a very good friend! If she can just rein in her silly cousin Lisa, foisted upon her in the terms of a will who sails a little too close to the wind with Angela's secret that has to stay under wraps.

Angela and Larry can't resist the challenge and request from an old man who needs them to be his eyes and ears to discover the truth behind the disappearance.
