Moods of Motherhood traces the life of a mother: her tenderness, joy, anger, love, frustration, grief and gratitude. Compiled from posts written for her popular blog, Dreaming Aloud, her best-loved columns from JUNO magazine and many new pieces. This is a book full of Lucy Pearce's trademark searing honesty and raw emotions. It will make you laugh and cry - wherever on your mothering journey you may be. Though the story is hers, it could be yours.

About the Author

Lucy H. Pearce is mother of three and the author of four non-fiction books, including the Amazon #1 Best Seller The Rainbow Way: Cultivating Creativity in the Midst of Motherhood. She has a devoted following of women around the world who trust her approach to womanhood and have used her work to help them flourish in their own life, whether through her books, blog or teaching. "Life-changing" is a word that comes up again and again.

She has recently stepped down her role as contributing editor and columnist at JUNO magazine, where she worked for over 5 years, to focus on her writing career and new publishing company, Womancraft Publishing, an imprint of Lucent Word.

A freelance writer for seven years, her work has been published in: The Guardian, Irish Examiner, European Journal of American Culture, Positive News, Green Parent, Modern Mum and JUNO magazines. Lucy’s writing has also been published in anthologies by BlogHer, TinyBuddha, Earth Pathways and Mother’s Milk Books.

She is regularly approached by writers looking for publishing and marketing advice and for book endorsements, and is featured regularly on telesummits and in international media.

She runs two popular blogs: Dreaming Aloud and The Happy Womb; and guest posts for many top blogs including: Tiny Buddha, Studio Mothers, NetMums and Rhythm of the Home.

Review: Zoe Foster - "A sincere and emotionally evocative look at motherhood that will have every mother and mother-to-be whisked off on an adventure through every possible scenario, emotion and transformation that motherhood inevitably brings to all of us. Lucy's frank and forthright style paired with beautiful, haunting language and her talent for storytelling will have any parent nodding, crying and laughing along - appreciating the good and the bad, the hard and the soft, the light and the dark.

A must-read for any new parent, particularly mothers. Lucy's column and blog helped me through my own parenting journey, and Moods of Motherhood will be a wonderful companion to the new mother as she finds her own way through the maze of wonderment that comes with becoming a mama. Consider this a tribe of mothers to carry with you wherever you go, so that you can find comfort and companionship at all times - especially when those mothers around you are putting on a brave face!"
