Thirteen years ago, I was ripped from my home and forced into servitude. My world was already broken,  and the hell I'd experienced at home, it became the same. Then I was suddenly released into a different kind of hell. A hell that knows no boundaries, that cares about no one. I'm empty, alone and scared. I'm weak, and I don't know if I can survive another hell. Something is missing and I must face this hell in order to find it, or die trying.

The world changed thirteen years ago. My life, as well as everyone else's, was turned upside down. While others pillaged for food and water, I went in search of my sister.  But the Heretics made it nearly impossible to find her even though I traveled through hell and high water. Now that my sister is found, I've joined the Mercenaries and will fight for my country. I will not surrender, I will not bow down and I will not break, until I meet Emma.

Emma appeared in my life eight months ago, almost thirteen years after our world exploded. She's weak, scared and beautiful. I can see us spending the rest of our days together, but I keep away and watch from a distance. Then Hank comes along and hopes for my future slowly melt away to the nothingness of the world.
