Through the recollection of her personal experiences of hardship, illness, abandonment, and other traumas and trying circumstances, author Madeline Medina-González illustrates her transformation within herself. In this memoir, she chronicles her struggles as a shy little girl who experienced fears, struggles, losses, illness, and feelings of abandonment. She became the victim of rape and then embarked on a self-destructive journey that lasted nearly twenty years. After years of failed relationships, keeping her distance from God and her family, she finally hit rock bottom-and it was then that she called out to God. In a miraculous turn of events, He heard her calling. Ultimately, she found salvation in God and her journey of faith. A long journey that led her into God’s arms, where she experienced forgiveness, mercy, grace, healing, and His unconditional love.
