Leopards are not known for being kind, loving or caring. So, it should come to no surprise that Leopard shifter Max has no desire to find a mate. He is one of the founders of the Assassin Loyalty and that’s enough social interaction for him. Or at least his thinks so, but all that changes when he’s attacked by a rouge Assassin named Cain.
Cain is a Sugar Glider. He and his twin, Reemus, may be the only of their kind left. They are constantly being hunted down and are barely surviving. Then Max and Cain both become the prey instead of the predator. As Max and Cain work together to fight the threat coming their way, they are engaged in another fight. From the moment they meet, Max and Cain have an intense attraction to each other.
