This book is about an elderly woman that lost her way in life and was not dealing with overwhelming grief very well. God hears her desperation and sends a raven to help her get back on track. God used ravens in the Bible to feed Elijah, and they were obedient. The old woman, using her free will, accepts the raven’s help and starts the process of emotional and spiritual healing. The raven in turn accepts the old woman’s help and heals physically, thus beginning a deep friendship, and God orchestrated it all.

Scriptures that inspired this book include the following: Psalms 34:17-18(God hears our cries), Psalm 46:10 (Be still to hear and experience God), Genesis 1:26 (God made mankind caretakers of the animals), 1 Kings 17:4 (God sent ravens to feed a human), 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (being thankful), Hebrews 11:1 (definition of faith), Proverbs 16:9 (God directs our steps; in this story, He sent Maven to help the lost woman), Matthew 7:7 (Ask and you will receive), Hebrews 13:2 (show hospitality to strangers for some might have entertained angels; Maven was not an angel per se but a messenger from God.)
