She, her daughters, and Zach and his daughter go to church together the following day.

She stopped going some time ago, and the township gossip says something that annoys her. In response to the woman, she claims to be married to Zach. She is shocked by her words, but he does not seem to mind.

Days later, her parents arrive to visit her, and the gossipmonger tells them that she is married. Her attempts to deny it are stopped before she can make them.

She visits Zach, to get away from her family, and finds his relatives there, they have been told that he is married. Lungile is shocked that her lie has reached people who do not live in the same city that she does.
