Love Boxes 2: The Vacation

SWEET ROMANCE: Fancy Ford is vacationing in “the Tip-of-the Mitt” of Michigan. The trip starts in Traverse City at the Park Place Hotel and progresses to Charlevoix, Bay Harbor, Petoskey, Historic Bay View, Harbor Springs, Conway, Oden, Alanson, Brutus, Pellston, Carp Lake, Mackinaw City, and Mackinac Island. Along the way she and her friend discuss the towns and the people in them––what they meant to her, and how she recalls them through her grandparents eyes, as well as her own. Her account supplements historical records and is filtered through childhood memories and family recollections.
