The book was written by Holocaust survivor’s son, Lilly's nephew. This is a heart-rending tale of the journey from youthful hopes and dreams to the edge of despair and eventual death. This Holocaust story is about burning love, the futility of war, and the extermination of innocent people because of different beliefs. Based on a true story, it took three years doing Holocaust research and numerous travels to Poland, where the novel is set, to make sure that the story is authentic.
