Today, we as Americans do indeed have a major problem in our society. Almost daily we hear more and more reports of police shootings mainly among our black citizens. In many of these cases, there are large loopholes in the minds about the way these shootings are handled, sometimes leading into riots and confusion among us, both blacks and whites. Being a police officer holds a lot of responsibility. Even while helping one person with their problem, you may very well make enemies with another. There is just no easy way to satisfy everyone all the time. That’s why reading this book, Let’s Ride, Partner, will help you better understand what it is like to be a police officer making split-second decisions. Sometimes even putting yourself in a real-life “shoot or don’t shoot” situation. Just like a few you will be in as you read. The setting is to put yourself in my police vehicle as my partner.
