Lavender Fields

This touching tale with universal themes of love and pain, struggle and joy, takes place in the little town of Glendora, nestled in the hills of County Wicklow, Ireland. Follow young Nora Murphy as she struggles to build a life for her self and her baby and experience the ups and downs of a single mother in old Ireland. After a shock pregnancy and unable to seek the support from her alcoholic mother she finds herself alone, with every door slammed in her face. She’s no longer welcome at home, at school, or at her job in the lavender fields. Nora's experiences of single motherhood, the prejudices she endures, and the efforts she is required to make to raise her new baby as she wishes, places her in situations she could not have imagined before her surprise pregnancy. Her simple kind heart and positive outlook, provide opportunities that result in unexpected changes for young Nora.
