Laura's Child is book four in the continuing Laura comedy fantasy series. It is assumed that you know the background to all the main characters by now. My wife Laura gives birth to our first child, the mystical Red Moon Child of Arthurian prophesy. She is named Tammy after the song by Debbie Reynolds. When she is a toddler she develops a penchant for collecting animals and an obsession for playing Monopoly. All the while we are being stalked by a crackpot cult of half-wit Satanists with a nefarious plan to kidnap Laura. But when one of them abducts the child he soon falls foul of her magical powers and ends up in a psychiatric hospital with an addled mind. In the meantime we have a bizarre experience in a crappy night club which is raided by the drugs squad, Tammy adopts a dopey black rooster and a flatulent goat, and Debra wins a Miss Wet Tee Shirt competition, which of course goes to her head. Then Laura and Debra are taken hostage by the gang and the goat leads Vince and myself to rescue them. But our troubles are only just beginning. When we all flee to the local church to take refuge with the minister, only to have it laid siege to by a mob of crazed devil worshippers. It is left to the Red Moon Child to save the day. In the future there will be a fifth book to follow.
