Mary Jo Spencer is the youngest Texas Ranger to ever graduate from the Ranger Academy, thanks to her appointment by the Texas Governor. When Mary Jo’s best friend and Texas Ranger, Gus Thompson is killed by drug dealers, she makes an oath to bring them to justice. That oath causes her to break all the rules that the Ranger’s stand for.
At a Ranger meeting, she meets the Texas Governor and he invites her to the Capital and to be on his security detail. She quickly finds herself eating dinner with the widowed Governor and his two children. Mary Jo is not much older than the Governor’s daughter and finds that the two women have nothing in common and the daughter is afraid that Mary Jo is going to “steal” her Father from the family.
When the Governor proposes to Mary Jo, she must make a difficult choice, continue with the Rangers, which she loves or marry the white house bound Governor that she doesn’t love. One choice is a life full of danger and the other is a future as the youngest First Lady of the United States.
LADY TEXAS RANGER is full of gun fights, tense situations and 1970's history. Step back in time almost fifty years to Midland, Texas, a booming oil town full of money, crooks and a few good guys wearing white Stetson hats.
