Immanuel Kant was a great philosopher and one of the founders of the modern system of philosophy. He is in the row with the greatest thinkers as Aristotle, Isaac Newton, John Locke, David Hume, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, and John Stuart Mill. Their thoughts had strong influence on building the foundation of the United States and its endeavor of open society.

Immanuel Kant’s treatise on education declares that the topic consists of "discipline," "culture," "discretion," and "morality." Kant deals with the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the child, and gives a variety of practical suggestions on how to train children to be the next generation of capable citizens.

Kant published his only work about education Kant on Education in 1803 and the book was regarded as Kant's deepest thoughts of education.  In Kant on Education, he explained that that education differed from training. He believed that education involved thinking whereas training did not. To Kant, education was the development of character and teaching of moral maxims. The approach of education recommended by Kant was learning by doing. He further explored potential solutions to stress the necessity of treating children as children and not as miniature adults. In this book, Kant discussed the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the child, and gave a variety of practical suggestions on how to train children to be the next generation of capable citizens.

Kant’s work produced great influence on modern philosophy and logic. His view became widely recognised as the foremost philosophical voice and his influence has been felt in nearly every field of the humanities and social sciences.

This book is one of the most important ones about education by Immanuel Kant, one of the greatest thinkers of modern philosophy on the planet.
