This is the story of one man's travels through northern Pakistan, using Gilgit as a centre. The story continues to Baltistan and up through the Karakoram Mountains and the infamous Karakoram Highway that links the country to China via the Khunjerab Pass, the highest road border crossing in the world. Finally there is the ascent to base camp of K2, the world's second highest but most deadly of mountains.
