Jane Scare

A Short Story

JANE SCARETTO is mourning the death of her husband. She sleeps most of the day only managing to wake in the evening to fix a meal for herself. She goes to the kitchen only to find her groceries have gone bad. She bags the rotting food and takes it out to the trash. On returning back to the house, she looks out of the window to see a car has parked in her drive. Upon hearing the doorbell ring, Jane rushes into the hallway only to see two strangers standing in the door.
