James the octopus and his friends lived happily on Rainbow Reef. One day the friends woke up to find hundreds of fishing hooks hanging above their reef. Scared of getting hurt, they decided to leave the reef and find a new home. They began a long journey through the oceans to find the perfect place to live.

Savannah Stewart is a photographer and wildlife biology student planning to attend the University of Montana, Missoula in the fall. Her roots are in Northern California, but she prefers seasons and not consistently hot days of California. Stewart advocates environmental education for children and adults alike; her motivation for sustainability is the attitude needed to overcome our current environmental instabilities. When she isn’t studying wildlife, you can find her taking photos in the deep woods.
