A lonely twelve year old girl with special gifts she’s unaware of, befriends an ancient celestial dragon who takes her and her family on a magical and perilous journey to the Far East to find its lost mate before their enemies do.

Isabella Treehorn, a gifted but lonely 12 year old girl of mixed heritage, finds out she has the gift of telepathy and powers of Chi from her mother Jacqui who knows her time on Earth is about to end because of a curse that has killed alternate females in the family since their ancestor, the Princess Dasyn of the Jade Dynasty. Jacqui gives Isabella the family Jade Amulet to keep with her. Having nightmares after her mother is killed in front of her and her brother Kaelyn, Isabella begins to see a dragon who speaks to her.

Tianlong, the dragon is escavated in the mountains of Mongolia by greedy Paleontologists Miles and Yang who look to capitalize on Tianlong, through exhibits worldwide. After the death of their mother, Isabella and Kaelyn move in with their eccentric uncle named Titus, a man of the outdoors.

When the Ming Dragon comes to her town, Isabella and Tianlong talk to each other through telepathy as Tianlong tells Isabella it was destiny that’s brought them together. Tianlong tells Isabella he can speak and tells her and her family how the curse came about and that her life is in danger from the evil demons the Lords of Death who were responsible for destroying the kingdom and hunting down the dragons to extinction except for Tianlong and his mate Ling Ling who escaped.

Isabella tells Titus of her powers to connect to the dragon which he doesn’t believe until

Isabella is attacked in her bedroom by the demons. Titus enlists the help of an old girlfriend, a Chinese Witch named Grace and her cousin Simon Lee, a Zen Master and Martial Artist.  Grace and Isabella pull an elaborate scheme to free Tianlong from the exhibit by shrinking it down to the size of small lizard and hide him away at the house.

Tianlong tells the family he must go to Mongolia to find his mate Ling Li who escaped with him and still may be alive.  The family pulls up stakes and journeys to the Far East to find Ling Li while being hunted by the Lords of Death and Miles and Yang, who will stop at nothing to get Tianlong back.

The family faces one peril after another and realizes that they must rely on each other and Isabella’s growing command of her powers to pull them through.
