About the Author:

RICHARD SYDENHAM was born in Birmingham in 1974 and began a sports journalism career in 1994 by writing on cricket and football for a weekly newspaper in Birmingham, predominantly covering Warwickshire and Aston Villa. He went on to work for Gulf News in Dubai, Bloomberg News in London and freelance for The Sunday Telegraph and news agencies Reuters and the Associated Press. He founded Bigstarcricket.com and client and event management company Big Star Creations. This is his fourth book after In the Line of Fire (1999) on the great opening batsmen of Test cricket, Inside Out (2006), an autobiography of Mushtaq Mohammed, and an as yet unpublished biography on the movie career of Steve McQueen.
