If I Should Die

As a crime scene photographer for the Toronto Police, Elizabeth Reid has seen her share of tragedy. After losing her mother in a fire as a child, she was gifted with the ability to see things that other's couldn't, including the spirit of a mysterious woman who appears in her dreams, often forewarning her of impending death.
After receiving a letter from her grandmother, and accompanied by her best friend and Crime Scene Specialist, Alex Buchanan, "Lizzie" is returning home to Woods End, Scotland, for the first time since the fire that claimed her mother. The town is haunted by dark secrets, and all seem to be pointing to the abandoned mental asylum: The Castle.
Stymied by unseen forces, the pair struggles to solve a series of deaths that have occurred there. What they discover is a massive conspiracy meant to protect the town, and a succession of lies that has affected her family for generations. Now that they know the Castle's secrets, they can't be allowed to leave alive.
