What happens when the breasts you love must be removed?

First Sherry mourned the loss of her breasts then she decided, "You only have one life to live and if you do it right once is enough." Moving forward with this quote in mind Sherry covered her breast cancer scars with beautiful tattoos.

When Sherry's tattoo artist, Constance Payne, asked her to pose topless in a local tattoo magazine her first thought was, "Of course not!!" But when she was told that the publisher of the magazine, Jen Arney, wanted to do a feature article on her for breast cancer awareness month and that said publisher would also take the photos she decided it was something she had to do.

The photo shoot ended up being very artistic and exciting. The photographer, Jen, approved of Sherry's decision to hide her "nipples" (which are also tattoos) with her fingers. The photos ended up being something that Sherry is very proud of!

Because of her breast cancer Sherry was interviewed in February 2014 by the BBC World Have Your Way radio. The topic of discussion was "Is the Majority of the Future Cancer 'tidal wave' Down to us?" On the panel were doctors, other writers and radio personalities. She was also a featured entrepreneur on the blogradio program Mygani Design which is hosted by Felicia Wright. Sherry walked in the Strides Breast Cancer walk in October 2013 and after the walk was interviewed by the Daytona Beach News Journal which was posted as a video on their website. The local newspaper Ormond Beach Observer also interviewed Sherry about her book in December 2013.

Sherry is also proud that her book is available at the Palm Coast, Florida Library.

Sherry has done quite a few speeches informing the audience about her breast cancer journey. She has done speeches at the New Symrna Yacht Club, Ormond Beach Building Powerful Women's group and Flagler Hospital's Breast Cancer Support Group. She is also on the short list to do a speech in 2014 at the American Volleyball Coaches Association Conference.

For Sherry Breast Cancer has ended up being not just a journey of sorrow but a journey where she has found excitement and discovered peace.
