Politics from the point of view of a military veteran and average everyday American. Since the inception of our nation our leaders, for the most part, preach Democracy while doing their best to exclude us from the process as they know better. (wink wink) This election season has proven every word in this book. It is time to get past the frustration and sense of impotence and come to the realization that you do, in fact, have a voice and the issues that our leaders struggle with can actually be solved easily with a bit of selflessness and fortitude. This book offers real world solutions to the issues of illegal immigration, accountability, budget, education, religion, diversity, foreign affairs, taxation, crime, health care, the military, the Constitution, and much more. You will laugh, get angry, and, in the end, come away with a real sense of empowerment. Book preview: "I want you to wake up to the fact that it is okay to be a proud American. It is not okay to be an ignorant American. we do NOT owe the world an apology for forging the greatest country in the history of mankind." Accountability: Why do we keep electing the same tired ass fossils over and over? if they don't walk it like they talk it, fire them and elect someone who will man up and get it done. If you screw up at work you get fired, right? The Budget: If you ran your household budget the way the government runs the country's budget, you would be living in a box near some overpass. Immigration: The fact is, one of the most critical responsibilities of any sovereign nation is to secure its borders. It makes no difference what laws you enact if you do not secure the border first. Diversity: I certainly do not go into a job interview declaring my sexual preference. If I am the one doing the interviewing I would view this type of declaration to be unprofessional and nothing more. Foreign Aid: When it comes to prioritizing our tax dollars, the number one single over riding priority should ALWAYS be the needs of the people of the United States of America. Until we address THAT priority, nothing else should be under consideration. Taxation: 20 steps to reducing spending, increasing revenue, so that we can resolve the issues of our people. Healthcare: The health of a human being should not be a profit making scheme. The Military: Build the biggest war machine on the planet and people will leave you the hell alone. The Bill of Rights: It is up to you to educate both yourself and your children so that they understand the law and are familiar with the means with which to stand up to those who would flaunt the constitution. Abortion: I cannot believe that someone will go out and hug a tree, save a stray pet, and protest for convicts but cannot find it in their hearts to be an advocate for a growing human life. The United Nations: Our governments first responsibility is for the safety and well being of it citizens and, as such, we may need to look at our relationship with the U.N. and maybe it is time to send them packing. There are also hundreds of quotes both historical and contemporary from some very wise people. "Facts are a stubborn thing." Ronald Reagan "make yourself sheep and the world will eat you." Benjamin Franklin "Truth will always be truth, regardless of lack of understanding, disbelief or ignorance." W Clement Stone There are 2 ways to conquer and enslave a country. One is by the sword and the other is by debt." John Adams "Immigration laws are the only laws that are discussed in terms of how to help people who break them." Thomas Sowell "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." Albert Einstein Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes." Peter Drucker It is past time to put down the newspaper, turn off the evening news, and use your own common sense to sift though the cloud of BS that have
