A secretive research team presented a revolutionary solution to mankind's most burning problem, a need for clean, renewable and affordable energy in Helsinki Energy Conference in 2023.
But revolutionary inventions are hardly ever welcome. They become a threat to established industries, jobs and business models and power structures.
The renewable energy research team soon found that their invention was too revolutionary. It could replace the world's most traded commodities - oil, gas and coal - and render them as stranded assets, resources that lost their value. The vested interests were too great that the mighty and powerful energy empires would allow that kind of disaster to happen.
The team of scientists became pawns in a geopolitical power game, in which ruthless dictators and greedy fossil energy companies joined forces to eliminate such a threatening prospect by any means.
