The science-based fact is that a person gets acquainted with on average of 4,000 people during a lifetime. This does not mean, however, that he or she knows well everyone, whom he/she has ever seen, worked or studied with, or just said hello. The question “How to know what a person is?” is currently becoming more and more relevant than, say, twenty years ago. One of the reasons is that people have become much harder to see through, and it’s not just we. And the problem is not the modern moral. The main reason lies in the new modernized forms of communication. Today people increasingly give their preference to new media. The Internet has replaced the usual form of conversation, and nowadays communication is based on the interactive principle.

In the world of today, virtually nobody writes letters on paper. But earlier, it was from the letter that people could learn about the mood and feelings of the author, could recognize the state of his/her soul, reveal the emotions he/she was experiencing while writing the letter by handwriting. Nowadays, traditional means of communications have been replaced by text messages where the abundance of characters and symbols makes it difficult for us to know who the person is with whom we communicate. A few people can now be found reading books or newspapers. Because in fact the book is the primary information source, and only due to the beautiful literature people have learned to understand other people by projecting their attitude to characters endowed with certain personality traits on real characters. In fact, a book has served as a unique form of a dialogue between an author and a reader.
