Charles G. Leland was an American scholar, humorist, essayist and folklorist. In accordance with journalist’s working, Charles G. Leland travelled extensively and became interested in folklore and folk linguistics. During his travels he lived and studied with the Algonquin Indians for months at the same time recording their stories, myths and legends.

Primarily known as the Creator, he was a warrior against evil and the possessor of magical powers.
