Slowly I came to. I was in bed but I shouldn’t have been. The last thing I remembered was watching the scrum half grab the ball as it came out, passing to the number ten fly half who broke through the defence making a run for a touchdown. Then, he was brought down in a tackle but managed to pass the ball back to me the inside centre. I hammered toward the line, the next moment I was flying through the air. Then, nothing. Zilch! Just blackness.
A vision drifted in front of my eyes. No, not in bed, in heaven. Pale hazel eyes under finely arched eyebrows peered down at me. A slightly turned up nose over succulent lips were framed by a mass of auburn hair.
