Honour the Memory is the second book written by the author to pay tribute to the many ordinary people who have created extraordinary memories. It follows the author’s first book, Speak Their Name, in that each poem tells a story and each story is unique in its inspiration. These books of poetry are the author’s way of honouring all life, capturing precious moments in time, holding dear the memories of each day, and respecting the beauty and dignity of all.

“I think that powerful is the most fitting word to describe your work…the power of emotion, the power of memory and remembrance, the power of a life well lived, the power of giving, of love and the awesome, paradoxical power of simplicity and beauty. Thank you for sharing. You’ve put into words the thoughts and feelings and love that people often find so difficult to express. You’ve done it wonderfully, thoughtfully and beautifully. Thank you.”
—David Lynch, Writer, Guidance Counselor and Teacher at Roncalli Elementary, St. John’s, NL.

“Recognized by name and verse is probably the best line to describe the content of this remarkable work as compiled by Rosalind Pinsent. Her stories and verse capture without a doubt the true essence of individuals and places where families and friends stood together in good times and bad. I believe Rosalind has done a great job in telling a story that so many of us can relate to. I feel in her modest and sincere manner, Rosalind has touched on the very essence of who we really are and how much our memories mean to us. I invite the reader to pick up a copy of this work and sit back so as to embark on an incredible journey of yesteryear.”
—Ray Johnson, Author, Musician, Performer

Rosalind Reardon Pinsent is a retired teacher who lives in Bellevue, Newfoundland, with her husband, Jim, and their son, Perry. From her home, tucked in a beautiful harbour, she continues to be inspired by the beauty of the people and the community around her. Originally from Bell Island, Conception Bay, she remains faithful to her mining town roots. Her journey is fascinating in that she leaves no stone unturned in doing what she loves and sharing the memories that are created by doing so. Her love and devotion to family, friends, those in need, and all those she meets provide the inspiration for her thoughts. Honour the Memory is her way of showing love and appreciation and deep gratitude for all that her life holds.
