Most people know that the church, as it has been, is neither satisfactory to God nor adequate to the task before us as we move toward a world wide harvest in these closing days of this present age. Meanwhile, Jesus stated that He would build His church and even the gates of hell couldn’t prevail against it. Paul the apostle stated that his ministry was one of a wise master builder, who was carefully laying proper foundations within the Lord’s church. The Scriptures leave no uncertainty as to what those foundations should be and the characteristics the church should display in these last days as we see the church maturing at the end of the age in all Her restoration glory. In this book, the author has addressed the Church in transition, with the following chapter titles. “Is the Church Obsolete?” “What is the Church, and What Isn’t” “Looking Backward and Looking Forward” “The Seven-fold Purpose of the Church” And additional 25 pages of supplemental material is added at the end of this book on the subject of Apostles, Prophets and Pastors and their place in the Church today.
