“It’s fantastic, Amanda. You’re definitely a major player in the marketing space. I wouldn’t be surprised if you get a few job offers from other companies sometime in the next week or so.”

“Really? Well I won’t be taking any of them, of course.”

“I would hope not! If you do, however, and they tell you how much they’re willing to pay you, tell me and I’ll match it. I want to keep you at this company because you’re a fantastic marketer, and I want to pay you market value. I don’t want you staying here on a lower wage because we’re together.”

Amanda smiled. “Thanks, I appreciate that. It’s just so surreal.”

“Well, you absolutely deserve it. You’ve worked hard for years. There’s a saying in business: ‘It takes five to ten years to become an overnight success.’ You’ve put in the five to ten years, and now you’re an overnight success. I’m very, very happy for you Amanda.”

“Thanks. It’s unbelievable Mr Portman. I spent half the afternoon pinching myself to see if this was really happening.”

Mr Portman laughed. “I know that feeling all too well. Now, why don’t we move into the bedroom, and let me take control for a bit.”

“I was just going to suggest the same thing.”

He helped her to her feet and led her to the bedroom, where he ordered her to strip. Amanda did so immediately, finding herself standing naked in the middle of Mr Portman’s bedroom as he grabbed some things from his dresser.

“Get on the bed, on all fours, then move your arms in between your legs” he ordered.

Amanda did as he asked, trying to figure out how to do what he wanted most comfortably. She found that it only worked if she pressed her head and shoulders into the mattress, unable to hold her head up as she moved her arms between her legs.

A minute later, Mr Portman moved in behind her. He grabbed her wrists and tied them securely, but comfortably, with the soft ropes he used, and then tied the other ends to her ankles. Amanda tried writhing around a little bit, testing her movement, but found that she was very securely tied. She couldn’t move her arms, though her legs could still move somewhat. Her balance was now such that there was no way Amanda could get up from this position even if she wanted to. She was trapped, tied up with no way of getting free, and the thought excited her.
