Herbert A. Giles’s Works  contained 4 works written by Zhuang Zi  (365 BCE–290 BCE) and Herbert Allen Giles (/dʒaɪlz/; Chinese: 翟理斯; pinyin: Zhái Lǐsī; Wade–Giles: Chai2 Li3 Ssu1; 8 December 1845 – 13 February 1935) was a British diplomat, sinologist, and professor of Chinese language. Giles was educated at Charterhouse School before becoming a British diplomat in China. He modified a Mandarin Chinese Romanization system earlier established by Thomas Wade, resulting in the widely known Wade–Giles Chinese romanisation system. Among his many works were translations of the Analects of Confucius, the Lao Tzu (Tao Te Ching), the Chuang Tzu, and, in 1892, the first widely published Chinese-English dictionary.

These are the 4 works  in this book:

1. Chuang Tzŭ (1889)

2. Chinese Sketches (1876)

3. Religions of Ancient China (1906)

4. China and the Manchus (1912)
