The reflection of Cyril Bledstone stepped closer to Henrietta’s reflection from behind, placing his hands on her shoulders and massaging them, though she felt nothing.

“You don’t have to do much,” said Bledstone. “Simply undress and pose for me in different ways. And allow me to have some fun with her.” As he said this, Bledstone looked down at Henrietta’s reflection.

Her eyes grew wide and her jaw hung open. “You want me to have sex with you?”
“Not you,” he corrected. “Just your reflection. I assure you, nothing will happen to you personally.”

“But you get to do whatever you want to…to her?” said Henrietta, gesturing toward herself in the mirror.

“Yes,” said Bledstone. “I will be allowed to do whatever I like to this reflected facsimile of your body, and you will have to watch, and make her do what I ask.”

“Will she be like you? Will my reflection become a copy of me? Will it be able to think?”

“No. Without undergoing to proper procedures, your reflection will remain just that, just like in any other mirror. From your perspective, she is simply reflected light. But to me, she will feel like flesh and bone. And don’t worry about anyone outside. An enchantment was placed on this room long ago to completely soundproof it.”

Henrietta thought carefully. She wasn’t interested in having sex with this man, but if what he was saying was true, she wouldn’t have to. She wasn’t too keen on him seeing her naked, but she’d already put her body on display in the sisterhood’s book. In the grand scheme of things, this wasn’t so bad, and it would get her one step closer to solving the mystery.

“Okay,” said Henrietta. “I accept.”
