Sir George Webbe Dasent (1817–1896) little known folk tale's translator and contributor The Times newspaper. He was born 22 May 1817 at St. Vincent, west Indies, in family of John Roche Dasent who was attorney general.
He was educated with his friend J. T. Delan at Westminster School, King's College, London. And continued it at Oxford University. He get a diplomatic job at Stockholm, Sweden.
