Lots of guitarists, myself included, learned some open chords, bar chords and scales and then they settled into a slightly baffled state where they couldn’t progress to the next level. They have chord sequences and riffs they like to play but they don’t really understand why they sound good or why they fit together. I found that I was stuck at this level for many years.

To break out of this state we need understanding. With this comes the ability to interpret what others are doing and the ability to innovate within the musical rules rather than blindly trying every option.

The content of this book will be presented in a concise and factual manner. You won’t find stories, padding or any unneeded fluff. Think of this as a guitarists text book.
