Golf 101 for Women, “the only complete getting started playing golf” seminar, is now a book. Because so many women have enjoyed my information packed and value packed introduction to golf seminar, I was encouraged by many who have hosted my Golf 101 for Women seminar to write the book version. So, thank you for considering or purchasing this book. I always get excited when a woman is interested in playing golf. And, I get even more excited when someone wants to read this book, Golf 101 for Women. I believe that Golf 101 for Women is the best way for you to get started playing golf because it will set you up to start out right, to have fun playing, to allow others to enjoy playing while helping you, and to play for life. I want you to play golf for many reasons because there are so many wonderful benefits associated with the game. First, quite simply, I hope that you play golf just for the joy of playing. It’s fun! And, golf is exercise. Golf is a sport. Golf is a great way to get exercise to get stronger and more flexible. Golf also requires thinking and learning. Golf is a great tool for continued learning, for being challenged, and for staying sharp. And, golf is a great activity for promoting social interaction. Golf is a great hobby for staying engaged, for spending time with friends, family, or business associates, and for meeting new people. Then, there is “business golf.” No other sport or hobby is as beneficial to business and personal development as golf is. I encourage any professional to be reasonably proficient at the game of golf. And, golf courses are beautiful, so why not spend part of your day on one? I created Golf 101 for Women with the Mission to get women to start playing golf with my special perspective on how to start, to then love playing, and to play for life. The golf industry is filled with historical statistics on how many people try golf but then give up the sport. In the early years of my formal sports, I grew up with coaches who helped me love whatever sport I was playing. I cherish that still. And, I seek to share my perspective on golf based on these positive experiences. Again, Golf 101 for Women is my perspective on the game to help get you excited about starting, get you started the right way as a beginner, to help alleviate some intimidation, to help make sure that other golfers like having you play with them, with the mission to set you up to love the game and to play for life. I will also walk through the nuts and bolts of a day at the course. Golf is a game for everyone & a game for life. So, Start Here. And, Play for Life.
