This story is about my journey from a little girl in Afghanistan to fleeing to the united states and returning back to Afghanistan as an Afghan interpreter/cultural advisor to the U.S. military. This story highlights the difficulties and struggles my family and I endured leaving Afghanistan and adapting to a new culture in the United States. As a reader you will return with me back to Afghanistan with the U.S. military. You will learn about the conflict through my eyes.
