God is Not in the Killing Business

Job said "the Lord gave and the Lord taketh away". And since then the whole world has been blaming God for all the killings and death here on earth. But what does the Bible teach us about this? In direct contrast to this popular world view, the Bible teaches that satan is the murderer from the very beginning. Jesus Himself was the one who said this. Yet most Christians still prefer to blame God for the death of their loved ones, instead of putting the blame where it should rest. No person in his right mind will seek solace or comfort from his child's murderer. Yet that is what people have been taught for centuries by saying: "God took away his life, now go to God to receive your comfort." Can that ever be true?
