Jer's connection to his life and friends is becoming more tenuous as his preoccupation with his fairy encounters becomes an obsession. The mysterious changes within him have accelerated, and as his longing becomes despair, he lashes out. Will he discover a way to find peace with his experiences, or will he lose himself forever?
3871 words. Contains scenes of ambiguous sexuality, androgyny, homosexual and heterosexual sex, and a magical threesome.
---------------
A nicely-dressed couple sat at one of his window tables, the sunlight spilling across them now shading from golden to deep red. They were perhaps only a little older than Jer, though the man glared at him imperiously.
“Sorry, sir.” The words fell out of Jer’s mouth like dead fish. “What did you need?”
“We ordered the mussels!” the man sputtered.
Jer was already distracted. The woman was quite pretty, blonde, with pale, smooth skin, wearing a dress with a plunging neckline in a very flattering shade of red. The breeze arose, brushing his hair back from his face, and the wild stirred within him. The woman felt his scrutiny, looked up at him, and their gazes locked. Her startled expression smoothed into longing. Her hand clenched the cloth napkin in her lap as her breathing became more rapid.
“Hey! Are you paying attention?” The man snapped his fingers again. Jer turned his attention to him, suddenly noticing that the man’s eyes were a vivid green, just like the eyes of someone he’d loved so long ago. Desire emerged from the memory, joining the wild within. He felt himself grow stiff.
The man was silent now, trapped by Jer’s gaze. The customer’s breathing was rapid and shallow, and his face was flushed. The breeze seemed to surround the three of them in an insubstantial cocoon, separating them from the rest of the world. Jer could hear their hearts racing. He could feel their desire rising. He reached out with his own desire, tendrils of energy curling around them, drawing them in. They stared at him, mouths slack, their only expression one of intense lust.
He enveloped them both in his energy, wisps slipping under clothes, caressing skin, tweaking nipples, sliding between their legs. The man shuddered. The woman emitted a tiny whimper. Jer stood still, caressing without touching, their desire feeding his own.
“Please,” the man begged, a low, nearly inaudible moan.
“Yes,” whispered Jer.
