Recently dumped by her dream man, Emma Jordon thinks about what it will take to get him back. Going through the clothes that won't fit anymore, she can only wallow in sadness with tears streaming down her face. Coming across her old cheerleading outfit, the same outfit she met her dream man in, an outfit that no longer fits, the puzzle pieces start to come together.

Join Emma as she decides that anorexia is the answer to her problems. Knowing that her dream mans type of woman is a thin woman, she begins her story of purposeful starvation to make herself more physically attractive.

Excerpt:

In the corner of her eye, a closet full of clothes managed to catch her attention. Heading towards her walk-in closet, the shining sun practically lit a path to her closet. Was it a sign? She had wondered. Looking through her closet, tears started to trickle down her face as she shuffled through the multiple fabrics, saddened that most of her wardrobe had to be replaced because her fat body just could not fit in the clothes that she had collected throughout the years. One item in particular stood out. Taking the outfit off the rack, she then placed it on her bed. The outfit was her college cheerleading outfit; she wasn’t allowed to take it, but she did anyways. It was a symbol of pride, but to her, more importantly; it was what she was wearing when she first met Chad. Emma knew that if she tried it on now, something would tear; be it the shoulders, armpits, something would tear. If she put it on, she shouldn’t be able to move in it and would need her mother to help pull her out of ti. That was an experience that she wanted to avoid altogether.
Still naked, Emma crawled back into bed, placed her head on her pillow that she grew up sleeping on, slid the cheerleading outfit over her naked body, and fell asleep with it on top of her body, remnants of tears still on her cheeks.
Once again, she woke up to the sound of her mother knocker harder on the door. Through the door, her mother said, “Honey, it’s past 1pm and I’m worried…let me in, now!”
Quickly sitting up with stress beaming through her head and heart, Emma yelled out, “Just a minute!” Om a rushed daze, she threw her cheerleading outfit from days past into the closet, slipped on some pajamas and opened the door. Her mom looked at her with concerned eyes, and then gave her daughter an embracing hug.
With the same concerned look on her face, her mother said to her, “Honey, I’m worried. Please come downstairs and have something to eat. Let’s talk.” Emma could tell her mother was truly distraught, a mother knows these things. However, at that moment, Emma knew what she had to do; the light bulb had clicked on in her head!
